Equine Reiki
What to Expect
Animals are incredibly intuitive beings. They experience stress, anxiety, emotional changes and physical challenges just as we do.
Emotion
Sessions encourage relaxation, help release tension within the nervous system and allow your horse to process emotions in their own way.
Complements Vet Care
As with all reiki treatments, this work complements veterinary care and never replaces it.
Compassion
My aim is simply to support the whole horse - mind, body and spirit - with gentle, compassionate energy.
Honouring the wisdom of animals. Supporting wellbeing with compassion, respect and connection.
How it works/ FAQ
-
Animal reiki is a gentle energy healing practice that supports relaxation and overall wellbeing. It works with the animal's natural energy and is offered in a calm, non-invasive way.
-
Sessions are guided entirely by the animal. Reiki may be offered from a short distance or through gentle presence. Animals are free to move around, rest, approach or disengage at any point.
-
Yes. Equine reiki is suitable for horses of all ages and disciplines, including ridden horses, competition horses, retired horses and those recovering from illness or injury.
-
No. Many animal reiki sessions take place without any physical contact. The animal decides how close they wish to be and whether they would like interaction.
-
Responses vary. Some animals become very relaxed, yawn, sigh, lie down or fall asleep. Others may simply appear calmer and more settled after the session.
-
Many owners seek reiki to support animals experiencing stress, anxiety or changes in routine. Reiki promotes relaxation and may help animals feel calmer and more balanced.
-
Yes. Reiki is a complementary therapy and can be used alongside veterinary care. It is not intended to diagnose, treat or replace professional veterinary treatment.
-
Not at all. Reiki can be enjoyed as part of a regular wellbeing routine and may help support relaxation, emotional balance and overall quality of life.
-
Session length varies depending on the needs of the individual animal. Animals often indicate when they have received enough, and sessions will always be guided by their comfort and engagement.
-
Absolutely. Many animals feel more relaxed when their owner is present, and owners often enjoy being part of the experience.
-
That's perfectly normal. Animals are never expected to remain still during reiki. They are free to move, rest or interact however they choose.
-
Every animal is different. Some benefit from a single session, while others enjoy regular treatments as part of their ongoing wellbeing and care.
